Who we are
Tenn Renovation is a home renovation business based in Melaka, Malaysia, run by Royce and Lucas. When this notice says "we", "us" or "our", it means Tenn Renovation. We are the data user responsible for the personal information described here.
What this website collects
This website is a set of static pages. It has no user accounts, no server-side database and no forms that upload your details to us behind the scenes.
- The quote form. Everything you type on the "Request a quote" page stays on your device until you tap "Send on WhatsApp". At that point the site composes a WhatsApp message containing your answers and hands it to the WhatsApp app or WhatsApp Web. Nothing is sent to us unless you press send inside WhatsApp.
- WhatsApp buttons. The "Chat" buttons open a WhatsApp conversation with one of us. The site itself does not see or store what you write there.
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and buttons people use, so we can improve the site. It records anonymised information such as pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type and which contact buttons were tapped. It does not record the contents of the quote form or your WhatsApp messages. You can block analytics with a browser setting or extension and the site will still work normally.
- Fonts. Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a standard font request, including your IP address, to Google's servers.
What we collect on WhatsApp
Once you message us, we hold what you have shared in our WhatsApp business chats. Typically that is your name, phone number, the location of your property, the work you are interested in, and any photos, measurements or budget you choose to send.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a site visit and prepare your quote.
- To plan and carry out work you have engaged us for, and to provide after-sales support.
- To keep records we need for invoicing, warranty claims and Malaysian tax and accounting rules.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing lists or send bulk promotional messages. If you register interest in a future project, such as Ambience Kota Syahbandar, we will message you about that project only.
Who else sees it
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) carries the messages between you and us under its own privacy policy.
- Google processes analytics and font requests as described above.
- Suppliers and installers we work with on your project may receive the details they need to do their part, such as your address and the measurements for your job, and nothing more.
We will disclose information when Malaysian law requires it, for example to a court or a government authority.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become a project are deleted from our chats within a reasonable time after they go quiet. Records for completed projects are kept for as long as the warranty and our legal record-keeping obligations require, then removed.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, stop using it for a particular purpose, or delete it where we have no legal need to keep it. Message Royce or Lucas on WhatsApp using the buttons on our contact section and we will respond within 21 days.
Children
Our services are for homeowners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
